Privacy Policy
Effective June 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Daily Impact (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Daily Impact mobile application (the “App”) on iPhone or iPad and when you visit dailyimpact.app (the “Site”).
Summary
The App does not require an account, email, or password. You choose a display name; progress (streaks, points, impact totals, and challenge completion) is stored on your device and synced to our backend for leaderboard and community metrics. We use Supabase to deliver daily challenges and sponsor content, store anonymous usage records, and run aggregate counters (challenge completions, sponsor impressions/clicks, monthly active users, and site visit totals). We do not sell personal information.
Information on your device
The App stores information locally on your iPhone or iPad using standard device storage, including your display name, daily reminder preference, challenge completion state, streak count, points, and donated-impact progress. Dollar amounts shown in the App are illustrative display values derived from stored progress units. This local data remains until you delete the App.
Anonymous app identity
The App generates a random user key on your device to identify your row in our backend without sign-in. That key is not your Apple ID and is not linked to your name unless you enter a display name. We do not collect your email or phone number through normal App use.
Information processed through Supabase (App)
We use Supabase as a hosted backend. When you use online features, we may process:
• Profile & progress: display name, app-generated user key, donated-impact units, streak, and points (synced for leaderboard ranking).
• Activity: whether you are counted as active this calendar month (logged_in_this_month) and the date of your most recent App activity (active_day — calendar date only, not a timestamp).
• Community metrics: aggregate totals such as community impact, registered user count, challenge completion count, and monthly active users.
• Sponsor interactions: impression and click counts when you view or tap sponsor listings in the App.
• Challenge content: daily challenge themes, Wordle words, serve options, and related content served to the App.
We also store sponsor records and authorized admin/operations data used to run campaigns and reporting.
Leaderboard
If you complete challenges and enter a display name, your name, streak, points, and impact ranking may appear on the in-App leaderboard visible to other users. Leaderboard data is sorted from synced progress fields. You can change your display name in Settings; contact us if you want backend leaderboard data removed.
Website (dailyimpact.app)
When you use the Site, we may process:
• Page analytics: a row per page load (path and server timestamp) to compute aggregate visit counts — not used to profile individual visitors on the public Site.
• Sponsor inquiries: if you submit the sponsor contact form, we store the fields you provide (such as company name, contact name, email, website, phone, and message).
• Waitlist: if you join a waitlist on the Site, we store the email address you submit.
• Public metrics: the Site may display aggregate App metrics (for example total impact or user counts) returned by read-only backend functions.
Notifications
If you enable daily reminders in the App, we schedule local notifications on your device only. You can turn these off in Settings or in iOS Settings. Reminders do not require your phone number or email.
Sponsor and third-party content
The App and Site may load sponsor logos or other assets from URLs in our database. Loading those assets may send requests to our servers or third-party hosts; those providers’ practices are governed by their own policies.
Admin and operations data
Authorized operators may use admin tools to manage challenge content, sponsors, sponsor inquiries, user entries, waitlist signups, and team directory data. This operations data is used to run campaigns, maintain content, and calculate platform metrics.
Analytics
We do not use third-party ad trackers for behavioral profiling in the App. We use product counters and aggregates (sponsor impressions/clicks, monthly active usage, challenge completions, and Site visit totals) to measure performance and campaign outcomes.
Security
We use industry-standard practices appropriate for a consumer app. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use the App at your own risk consistent with your device security settings.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe we have collected information from a child inappropriately, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Your choices
You may stop using the App at any time, adjust notifications, or clear local data by deleting the App. For aggregate data tied to backend systems, contact us with requests and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the updated version on the Site and in the App and adjust the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
